Since it was established in Osaka Japan in 1953,
Tomoe has become the world leader in the production
of butterfly valves and actuators. The company is recognised
worldwide for innovative, high quality products.
The European headquarters of Tomoe was established
in Newport, South Wales in 1987 to develop the business
in the UK, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Canada.
In 1997, Tomoe Tritec Ltd was formed to design and
manufacture high performance Triple Offset Rotary Process
Valves. The Triple Offset design provides performance
and benefits that are ideal for arduous, high pressure,
high temperature applications within the Oil & Gas,
Petrochemical and Power process markets.
In April 2006 Tomoe Tritec Ltd was merged with Tomoe
Valve Ltd. The newly combined company is called TOMOE
VALVE LIMITED, located at the European Headquarters
in Newport South Wales (UK) and handles operations in
the UK, Europe, Russia, Africa, USA and Canada and South
America. From this site TOMOE implements a full programme
of design, manufacture and valve assembly, as well as
comprehensive stocks for all TOMOE process valves.
Tomoe now has five manufacturing centres in Japan (2),
China, Indonesia and the UK, with further plans for
expansion in 2007/2008.
The global TOMOE sales network has been increased by
the opening in June 2006, of a TOMOE Sales Office in
the United Arab Emirates, to support the increasing
TOMOE presence in this market.
In addition, in January 2007 a Tomoe sales office was
opened in Houston Texas to support the increasing Tomoe
presence in North & South America and Canada.
With global accreditation to ISO 9001:2000 and conformity
to the PRESSURE EQUIPMENT and ATEX Directives, we can
ensure absolute quality control and material traceability
throughout the manufacturing process. In addition our
products have been successfully certified under a wide
range of product, industry and company approvals.

development programme, encompassing the latest materials
