Ball valve definition:
Ball valves are normally quarter turn straight through flow
valves that have a round closure element with matching rounded
seats that permit uniform sealing stresses. A Ball valve is
popular in many situations where tight shut off is required.
The type of seat can vary with the valve pressure rating and
materials of construction. Some valve seats may be composed
of single molded forms, while other seats with higher-pressure
ratings could incorporate a trunnion design where each face
of the ball is separately sealed . Ball valves are used in numerous
process and utiility applications for many types of fluids.

The WKM

The WKM DynaSeal 210 ball valve is a two piece design with a
ductile iron body and tailpiece. This valve is economical and
it includes many of the premium design features found in the
WKM DynaSeal 310 carbon steel ball valve.

- Handle made from malleable Iron for long-lasting, reliable
service
- Designed to backseat when fully opened. Backseating the
valve helps take the pressure off the packing, thereby prolonging
the packing life. The backseat also prevents the stem from
being accidentally turned out of the valve.
- Fully threaded bonnet to accommodate optional panel mounting
nut.
